Homework for half term

Hello ladies,

Your homework over half term is to rehearse and practice your performance of your poem. In the first lesson back after half term we will be performing our poems to the rest of the class. I will select our running order at random, you must be ready to perform in that first lesson.

When you are rehearsing ask yourself, have I?
¡Changed pace
¡Changed tone
¡Changed volume
¡Changed body language
¡Used gestures
¡Used Facial expressions

Remember Malika Booker's advice about rehearsing in front of a mirror.

Don't worry, you will be fine.........keep calm and perform!

Have a good half term.

    1. Hi Patience,

Thanks for getting in touch if you are not sure. They are not the same, they are different and should be used together to create a particular effect.

Pace is the speed of your piece, how quickly or slowly you read certain lines.

Tone helps to show the emotion or mood you want to get across at particular parts of your poem. For example a sympathetic, angry or jealous tone.

Volume is how loud you speak, so you could whisper or shout depending what suited your poem.

Does that help, does that clear things up?
Let me know if you are still not sure of anything.
